For new customers, you can create a new account by simply placing an order through our website and then completing the associated form. You are also free to get in touch with us through email with additional information regarding your company or organization, including the company name, size, web address, history etc.

Orders can be placed through the CanadaPeptide.com website, email, or through the phone. To submit an order, you will have to provide us a purchase order. This usually includes a purchase order number (whenever applicable), billing and shipping addresses, and your preferred shipment method. We also accept credit card orders.

Follow these 2 simple steps to pay using Interac eTransfer:

All in stock product orders are shipped within the same business day they are received up until 12pm EST Monday to Thursday.

Here's the breakdown on the order statuses you can encounter at our store:

Complete - your order has been paid and processed, the products you've ordered have been successfully handed over to the courier for shipment and can now be tracked online.

Pending - this status means that the payment was not yet processed or received (eTransfer Payments)

Cancelled - This means your order has been cancelled. Here are some common situations why this might occur:

On Hold - this status means that we need more information to verify and process your order. We will email or call you within 24 hours for further details to ensure that you have knowingly placed the order. Once the order is verified, you will get the access to the purchased product(s).

Our products are exclusively for scientific research purposes. They should never be used for human or animal consumption.

You are not allowed to cancel any order or make any returns without our consent. Whenever applicable, cancellation and return charges may be incurred by the customer. In case of returns, you must contact us to get a return material authorization number.

Currently, CANADA PEPTIDE does not have any certifications by external regulatory authorities and/or other independent third parties.

All products by CANADA PEPTIDE are availed with the highest possible standards of spectral documentation. However, since we don’t have any ISO certifications or GMP/GLP manufacturing, our products are not certified reference standards. Also, they are not qualified against any primary standard. To confirm identity, we use Mass Spectrometry, Liquid Chromatography, and FTIR, and our product purities are based on LCMS or TLC.

The purities of our products are not considered quantitative. If you would love to know the potency of our products, then you may consider ordering for additional testing such as TGA, Karl Fischer that will make it possible for you to calculate the potency value. We do not attach potency values on the product Certificate of Analysis.

We and the customer agree not to disclose or share all the confidential information with any third party, including but not limited to the contract terms, project scope, price details, product development technologies and processes, and any other business-related information.

By placing an order with us, you have read, understood, and accepted all the listed terms and conditions.

ORDERING

We mostly respond within one business day with a confirmation of your order.

Once logged into your account click on "Order History"  on the left menu or by clicking view under "Recent Orders" on your account dashboard. Each order you have made will be available from these pages allowing you to view their status, track them or even download or print order confirmation, sales invoices and tracking information.

Each shipments tracking number will directly open and track the package on the assigned courriers website, the same for the shipment email that is sent to you from our shipping department.

A common issue we hear from our customers is this.

On occasion we will indeed be able to apply the coupon code to your current pending order if an email is sent to us during business hours advising us of the situation.

However once the order has been marked as completed or processing we will no longer have the ability to apply the coupon code to the order.

In certain circumstances we will gladly provide a credit or personalized coupon code applicable to future orders as compensation.

To get the invoice, perform the following steps:

· go to the Dashboard section at your account page;
· choose the required order under the Recent Orders block (if required, click View All link) ;
· click the View Order button;
· click the Invoices button;
· print the desired invoice out.

We maintain the right to request additional information from our customers prior to completing orders. We do this in an effort to assure complete compliance with our terms and conditions of service as well to identify and protect against fraud.

PAYMENT

CanadaPeptide will accept returns if it is deemed to be the result of a manufacturer defect.

Due to the nature of the products, peptides and proteins are subject to purity degradation if improperly handled or stored, the resulting effect is that we would be unable to resell said products after it has left our facility.

In particular circumstances we may offer replacements or credit.

In certain cases where reimbursement may be required, we will manually refund your order or the agreed upon amount for the items which have been returned to us. Refunds can only be issued to orders paid by credit card.

Custom peptide synthesis orders cannot be cancelled once the synthesis has been initated.

Chargebacks will not be tolerated. We will treat chargebacks as fraud and will pursue legal action if a chargeback is initiated to the full extent of the law.

As always most situations can be easily resolved by sending us an email or a phone call, we are always eager to help.

We always try to make our products available at all times, though there are certain occasions when certain circumstances may lead to temporary shortages of our products. On our website, you will find an inventory status of every product, and this usually include:

  • Pending QC – this is a highlight of the products that require further quality control and testing. They may require an additional one week for them to be available for purchase.

PEPTIDES

Different peptides and proteins will appear in a variety of densities and shapes. The freeze drying process does usually leave the product in a disc or cake format inside the vial.

Many times during shipping the vial may experience a few bumps along the way which will break up the cake matrix. Do not worry as this will not affect the integrity of the peptide at all.

Using both the peptide purity as well as the net peptide content you can calculate the quantity of available peptide in the lyophilisate.

All custom peptides include HPLC and Mass Spec data as a part of our quality assurance.

Net peptide content is used to calculate the amount of peptide with relation to the lyophilisate. Most peptides will yield a net content within the ranges of 62-92% however this can be precisely analysed using amino acid analysis or elemental analysis.

Peptides will arrive as a lyophilized form. Lyophilized peptides generally have very good stability and the short-term temperature change during shipping should not affect the product quality and efficacy. However, we recommend storing the lyophilized peptides at –20 ° C upon arrival and at this temperature, most lyophilizates can be stable for years without significant degradation.

Peptides are often hydroscopic. The absorption of moisture may decrease the stability and reduce the overall product quality. To avoid this, the vial should be always tightly sealed and when preparing for use, peptides should be allowed to warm to room temperature before opening the vial. We recommend that you only dissolve the needed amount into a buffer. The remainder of the stock should be stored dry at –20 ° C. The majority of peptides, both acidic and basic peptides, are most stable in acidic condition. Aliquots of remaining peptide solution can be stored frozen for a short term.

All of our peptides are provided in a lyophilized powder form in a 2ml vial which is standard.

 

This allows allows for backfilling by nitrogen or argon (for peptides containing Cys, Trp or Met) post lyophilization which substantially lengthens the long term storage by increasing peptide stability.

 

They are very stable in this form when kept refrigerated below -20C, at room temperature most peptides will remain intact for up to 1 month if kept out of direct light.

 

Custom orders can be packaged in multiple formats according to the customers needs.

CanadaPeptide specializes in quality products that will never be below 98% purity while some products come in above 99%.

Custom peptides can be purified to the requested purity.

Peptide purity is obtained from HPLC analysis data which indicates the purity percentage of the peptide itself and not the entire lyophilisate.

Proteins such as IGF-1 and variants are always considered receptor grade while maintaining a high purity of 95% measured by SDS-PAGE.

The minimum order for custom synthesis of peptides is 1MG.

Manual and automatic peptide synthesizers are used as well as microwave technology for certain sequences.

We do not perform LOD. If significant residual solvents are observed in HNMR, then the calculated percentages will be listed on the Certificate of Analysis – CofA. The water content, however, is based on Fischer.

Our products are for research purposes only. As such, they are not intended for animal or human use.

We don’t perform stability testing on our products currently. Retest dates, on the other hand, are assigned depending on the available literature on the products as well as the experiences/observations of our chemists during the product synthesis and analysis. Retest dates of 1, 4, 7, and 10 years are normally assigned to products accordingly. The most sensitive products are normally assigned a retest date of one year, and they will generally be tested by LCMS before being shipped. Products with longer approval periods usually tend to be less sensitive and more stable. All the products which we expect to sell, will typically be tested one year prior to their retest dates, except for the sensitive materials with one-year retest dates and which we customarily test six months before their expiration dates.

Products with long-term recommended storage conditions are usually shipped at ambient temperatures because they tend to be stable at room temperatures in the short term. For example, products that require long-term storage conditions of temperatures between 2 and 80C and -100C to -200C can be safely shipped in a short time under ambient temperatures. The basis of this is on the observations of our chemists while working on these products. Lower temperatures are ideal for long-term storage since such temperatures are good in maximizing the shelf life. Unstable products or those with recommended storage temperatures of -860C are normally shipped on dry ice as a means of preserving their quality.

Below are the recommended temperature ranges for storage:

  • Refrigerator: 0 – 80C.
  • -200C Freezer : -250C - -100C
  • -860C: -860C to – 700C    

Our products don’t undergo extensive solubility testing. In most cases, the solubility of the products will be tested in 2 to 3 solvents, but we don’t determine the solubility limits.

For regular packages, we usually weigh a surplus of about 10% or more of the product. For example, if you place an order of 1mg, you can expect to get between 1.1mg to 1.2mg of the product. This is to ensure that your order comes with sufficient materials. For exact weight orders, a small surplus of the material will still be provided, only that your order will be weighed on a microbalance and ship to you the exact weight up to three decimal places.

Whenever you receive your synthesized Canada peptides, it is usually in the form of lyophilized powder. This powder is usually composed of peptide material, counter ion, and bound water. Hence, when you order 1mg of peptide for sale, using the industry standards, you are essentially placing an order for 1mg of lyophilized powder. As such, the net quantity of your order will be slightly less than what you might have anticipated.

To know the actual net peptide on the delivered lyophilized powder, you will have to know the peptide purity as well as the net peptide content.

You can get information about the peptide purity on HPLC data. The data will tell you the percentage of your target peptide, in comparison to the peptide material only and not the entire lyophilized powder you will receive.

The net peptide content is the percentage of the peptide material present in the entire lyophilized powder. Usually, the net peptide content usually ranges between 60- 90%. If you need more accuracy, then you can get the net peptide content with the help of Amino Acid Analysis or Elemental Analysis, EA.

Amino Acid Analysis, AAA, usually requires just a small quantity of the peptide for analysis and it is usually less accurate and relatively cheaper to obtain results. Elemental Analysis, EA, on the other hand, needs large quantities of the peptide for the analysis to be done. Also, it tends to be more accurate, though it costs slightly more to accomplish. Usually, if you are more concerned about the net content peptide, then you should consider Elemental Analysis, EA since it tends to be more accurate.

We use both automated and manual synthesizers.

With all the peptides synthesized, we will provide both HPCL and MS to ensure that the sequences are correct.

Our purification is typically done by preparative RP HPLC. 220nm. Mobile Phase: A:0.1%TFA+H20;B:0.1%TFA+CAN.

Usually, we pick a suitable gradient to test peptides based on their property, with a change of rate of 1% /min for 30-minute runs.

When you receive your Canada peptides, they will be in lyophilized form, and generally stable at room temperature. However, if you want a long shelf life, you can store the peptides inside a freezer. The ideal temperature for storing lyophilized peptides is at -200C, and -700C for peptides in solution form. Before storing the peptides, ensure that they are sealed in airtight containers to reduce their chances of getting degraded.

Here is a brief guide to help you choose the correct purity level for your research:

  • >98%: ideal for NMR, X-ray structural studies
  • >95%: ideal for Qualitative Mass Spectrometry SRM/MRM assays, monoclonal antibodies, enzyme kinetics, tissue culture studies
  • >90%: ideal for post-translationally modified peptides for antibody production, and receptor-ligand assays.
  • >80%: non-quantitative binding assays, polyclonal antibody production, and ELISPOT assays.
  • >70%: best for non-sensitive screening assays, relatively MS assays, or exploratory assays.
  • Crude: ideal for non-sensitive screening assays.

Peptides will mostly feature TFA salts. If you need TFA to be removed, then you can always consider hydrochloride or acetate.

Shipping costs or applicable taxes are the customers responsibility and as such must be paid at the time the order is placed.

Once logged into your customer account and completing a new order you will be presented with the "Points to Redeem" option on the checkout page.

If you select that option a box will appear displaying the accounts' points balance and allow you to apply any amount of the points balance to the current order being placed.

Once logged into your account your points balance will be displayed on the Rewards Points tab of the account dashboard.

From the points details page you will be able to view your points earnings, spendings, transaction history as well as deposit points obtained by a coupon code and change your balance notification settings.

When using the rewards system Peptide Points to redeem against your order we use a simple currency exchange: 1 Peptide Point is equal to 1 Canadian Dollar.

Generally it is not an issue for us to ship using a customer account and preferred courier as long as it has been provided.

If the order has not yet been placed on our website you can edit your addresses by logging into your account and going to the address book section of the account dashboard.

If the order has been already placed but its status is marked as pending, then please email us as soon as possible in an effort to notify us of the error or issue.

Please note that modifying any address in the customer account address book will not update the address on an order already placed. You must contact customer service to modify any address on an order already entered into the system.

Once the order has been marked as complete it will be quite difficult to change the address as it has left our facility and has been handed over to the courrier. In such cases the change of address must be dealt with between the customer and the courrier.
